Before I start the review let me clarify that I am talking about '6-Piece Solid Wood Dining Set, Dark Oak' dinning table. The one with leafs at the end of the table that needs to be store else where when not in use. Why I make this clarification is, the way Amazon has set up this detail page, it has 3 different table models. They are completely different in design. Ideally they should have their own detail pages. By having all three tables listed as sort of just a variation in color has led to having the reviews all mixed up, Customer Q&As all mixed up. I have reported this to Amazon. For example, I asked the question where will the end leafs be stored when not in use. I got three different answers. All who answered were telling the right thing except that they were referring to one of the three different designs. Not that being clarified, let me get into the details of the product itself, which is, '6-Piece Solid Wood Dining Set, Dark Oak'I took the leap of faith to buy this expensive table from Amazon. The package arrived in three huge packages. In fact UPS messed up the delivery by initially delivering only two of the three packages (chairs and bench). They came around later in the afternoon to delivery the third package, the Table, biggest and heaviest of the three packages.Even though the exterior of the packages looked beaten up, the contents inside were well protected with Styrofoam. So no damages, not at least from the transportation.Table:It had 22 different wooden pieces, many of which had 2 to 4 units, some even over 6. I laid them all on the floor and took the count first to make sure all the pieces where available. The instructions were straight forward. Few things to note while putting this together.- The amount of glue they provide is NOT sufficient if you want a good tight fit- They say not to use power tools. They probably say this because if you are not careful you could damage the furniture. But without power tool to screw things in YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE FEW WEEKS to put this together.- There are no pre-holes drilled on to the pieces that another piece attaches to. Which means if you do not have a power drill you are either going to needs good muscles and a good set of screwdrivers.- The fit on the screws for corner wedges is not great. Have to be very careful doing this because it impacts the overall sturdiness of the tableWhile putting this table together, there were may points where the fits where not really tight and I was doubtful about the overall quality and strength of the table. Especially when you are attaching the bottom crossbar with the four main legs. But once you attach it to the table top everything feels a lot more sturdy. One of the leafs did not have marking on where some of the pieces screw on to. But it was a small thing and very easy to figure out.ATTENTION: The number of screws and other hardware are exact count of what is required. So don't misplace or lose anyI shall update this review after I put together the Chairs and the benchUpdate:Setting up the bench and chairs were soooooooo much easier after the marathon work on the table. It took about 15 minutes per chair and 20 minutes for the bench. For the chairs underneath the seat piece I noticed two pre-drilled holes. But they are not for any use. I wonder what they are for
